Ever since I first started exploring polyvagal theory (and came across the image at the bottom of this post), it became fixed in my mind that the polyvagal components are color coded.
- Ventral Vagal is green, and I also use green for Self Energy in IFS.
- Sympathetic Nervous system arousal is yellow, which also encompasses fight and flight, and yellow correlates to Managers or fix protectors in IFS.
- And Dorsal Vagal complex (or collapse) correlates with red for stop, and I use red or pink for the Fire Fighters or Freeze protectors.
